How a visit works
When an employee leaves your West Bradford shop with a key, we first ask which entrances it operates and whether you know of any other copies.
We also ask who still needs access, whether one key works more than one door, and whether you want to keep the existing hardware. Tell us about any trouble with the doors, too, so we can take that into account. Before starting, we explain which entrances are included and what each choice means for the people who use them.
Rekeying changes the lock so the departed employee's copy no longer operates it, while allowing you to keep suitable hardware. Replacing the lock gives you different hardware, which may make sense if the existing one is worn or does not meet your needs. We explain how either choice affects your current copies and any shared access arrangement. To finish, we test the entrances with you, check that the new copies work as intended, and go over which people will need one. You can also ask us to clarify any changes to access before we leave.
